Lurkers Again!!

Our accountant stopped in again today, and said in greeting "I love your blog"! What?? I don't remember giving her the blog info, and yet she is a reader! I see how many hits I get, but I DON'T KNOW WHO'S READING THIS!!!

In the blogiverse, there are memes.

What is a meme?

People often ask, "What is a Meme?" so here's a more than a little information on that. I pronounce it so it's rhymes with 'dream'; some pronounce it so it sounds like 'mem' (from mem-ory).

In the context of web logs / 'blogs / blogging and other kinds of personal web sites it's some kind of list of questions that you saw somewhere else and you decided to answer the questions. Then someone else sees them and does them and so on and so on. I generally consider these to be actual questions and not some multiple choice quizzes that determine some result at the end (what color you are most like, what cartoon character are you, what 80s movie are you).

So I am throwing a meme out here and I want answers dammit!!

I don't think I'm Stealing this idea, but here are Five Things You Don't Know About Me:

1. I am deathly, mortally afraid of cockroaches; the big scary kind that live in the South, not the puny ones found in the rest of the country.

2. My mother died when I was in high school, and I am afraid of dying young and leaving my kids alone with their father who will not take care of them they way I do.

3. I met my husband when I was 18 and we have been together ever since. God that's depressing!!

4. I have never dyed my hair before, nor have I ever been tempted.

5. I have extremely, abnormally ugly feet.

So there! Now I expect every one of you lurkers to give me the good on yourselves or pay the consequences!!!

1 - I always thought it was pronounced meemee, because the lists of answers you always get asked to do is telling all about yourself. In other words, ME ME ME ME!!! Learn something new every day. Course this wouldn't really fall into the useful category, but hey it's new. (Comment this)

2 - This is Betty from Mud Duck, Iowa and I am a lurker. Yes, I will admit it and it is such a burden lifted off my very broad, midwest farm wife, shoulders. And this is my first step to a cure. Although I do realize that once a lurker always a lurker, but with the help of the others at LA I am sure I can stop. Are there others out there that would also like to purge their lurking souls? 3 - I've nevver dyed my hair either! Never been tempted to, either. It gets pretty bleached out in the summer, even just in the sun. noy yo mention the pool, but I've never lightened it or put lemon juice in it, etc...Have had a few people try to talk me into it, but why? If you know me, you know there are people that dye their hair this color! So why would I change it? An interesting phenomenon. That also leads to a question that accompanies that rude comment about weight (ie you've lost a ton). That would be "do you color your hair? Even if I did (which I don't) why the hell would I tell you!! (Comment this)

6 - Ok, you want info here it goes-
1. I am deathly afraid of flying.
2. I have known my husband since I was 18 too.
3. I don't dye my hair either,however, I could be tempted.
4. Overall my 11 year old is much braver than I have ever been or probably will be.
5. I could easily be a controll freak! If things are not where they are suppose to be or things don't go as planned I tend to get extremly neverous and worry.

7 - I been absent not lurking but here goes...
1. I seriously hate memes but like you so...
2. I once layed out - front and back - on a black trampoline in 100+ degree weather and got 2 degree burns over 75% of my body/
3. I nearly cut off my right middle finger in 7th grade art class with an X-acto knife and have a wicked ugly scar to prove it.
4. I have a space between my big and first toe on each foot that is wide enough for another toe.
5. Both my thumbs and little fingers are double jointed. (Comment this)

8 - Bice, I have missed you!! Thank you for doing my meme. However, I need much more info on the trampoline incident...were you actually trying to get a tan?? Or did a gang of roving ruffians beat you into submission and then leave you to roast on the trampoline, turning you once to make sure you were done on both sides? (Comment this)
